Reminder: MSA Security Breach September 2021

updated 1/2/2022

On Monday 20 September, 2021 there was a security breach, and some members may have received a scam email from an MSA address. This means that the attackers may have gained access to the MSA server, of which historical customer information including member names, passwords, phone numbers, email addresses and date of birth. While it is not certain that these files were accessed, we are acting out of an abundance of caution. Please note that payment card numbers or historical payment card data is not kept at all on our system.

MSA acted promptly and changed all organisational passwords and setup 2-factor authentication. We recommend that you change your password if you use the same password for any other accounts. MSA cybersecurity partner, has removed the malware from our systems and continues to actively monitoring the platform to safeguard personal information. The security breach was reported to the Australian Cyber Security Centre.

Please watch out for suspicious emails or/and phone calls.
