Singleton Sundial Swim – Postal Swim

“Swim around the Singleton Sundial in 2019 and become a Member of the Secret Society of Sundial Swimming!” Did you know that Singleton (NSW) is home to one of the world’s largest sundials. The sundial forms part of the SMSC logo, and as MSA’s newest postal swim it is designed to promote the town and Masters Swimming. Complete the 12 events of the Singleton Sundial Swim in any stroke within 12 months. Want to know more?
The Singleton Sundial Swims consists of 12 swims to be swum in any stroke within a 12 month period- i.e. one swim relating to each hour of a sundial.

| 2 o’clock 200m | 8 o’clock 800m |
| 3 o’clock 300m | 9 o’clock 900m |
| 4 o’clock 400m | 10 o’clock 1000m |
| 5 o’clock 500m | 11 o’clock 1100m |
| 6 o’clock 600m | 12 o’clock 1200m |
The 12 distances to be achieved are 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m, 600m, 700m, 800m, 900m, 1000m, 1100m and 1200m. If participants complete all 12 swims they will automatically become members of a “novelty” organisation known as the “Secret Society of Sundial Swimming” and receive their choice of a society membership certificate, or a certificate recognising their achievement. The swim effectively initiates swimmers into the “society”.
