ASCTACON21 NEW DATES

We have been working diligently to deliver ASCTACON 21and are conscious that so many of you have been looking forward catching up in person at the Gold Coast in September.

When we announced the deferral of our 2020 conference event, we re-scheduled on the basis that interstate travel would be less restricted due to the government plans for extensive vaccination across the majority of the population and before the emergence of the COVID Delta variant and the consequent lock-downs.

However, we’re still living in highly changeable and uncertain times. Since the emergence of COVID, our approach for ASCTACON has been to plan for the best and have contingency plans in place. Our conference group’s safety and health are always our top priority and we want to ensure we can deliver a conference in not only an accessible and safe environment, but also where we can all come together as a community to celebrate our 50^th year as a group.

Based on the current Australia-wide situation, and uncertainty around who may be able to attend ASTCACON21 (delegates, suppliers and exhibitors) we have now made the very difficult decision that the best way forward is to defer our event into 2022.

The new conference dates are 28^th April – 1^st May 2022.
Venue – Sea World Resort & Convention Centre. 

You do not need to do anything at this stage. All registrations will be transferred over to the new dates, and we are continuing to accept new registrations. If you wish to receive a refund, please get in touch with our team at convention@ascta.com.

If you have booked accommodation using our links at Sea World Resort, please contact them directly to change your booking to the new dates. If you have booked through other agencies or hotels, you will need to get in touch with who you booked through.

Our conference team will continue working on the ASTACON Conference and the website will be updated in the coming days.

Furthermore, we simply could not see out our 50^th year without some sort of celebration. We are working on a virtual event to create an interactive and engaging experience for everyone. This will likely be run during the conference dates (18 September – 21 September 2021). We will send out more information on this soon and hope you can get involved, so standby for further details.
