Transition 2 Masters – Miami Masters

Following on from a successful pilot program and an Australian Sports Commission funded program via the Play Well Participation Grant we are excited to hold a Transition to Masters (T2M) program at Miami Masters on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

T2M is for adults to progress their swimming and water safety skills becoming more comfortable around the water and to provide physical, mental and social benefits. The T2M program is designed specifically for adults who can swim 25 metres but may struggle to go much further. It recognises that adult swimmers vary in ability and offers a structured 3-month course (24 sessions) tailored to build skills, confidence, and endurance. After the 24 sessions participants will be offered a 1-month Come and Try membership with Miami Masters.

One of the main objectives is to transition participants into Miami Masters and to continue your swimming journey and sustain participation in the sport, not necessarily to compete, but to enjoy the company of like-minded swimmers. To join a masters club you do not have to compete!

Participants may be swimmers that have learnt to swim as a child but do not have the ability or confidence to swim over 25 metres comfortably but are motivated to learn. To register your interest please fill in the form below noting we can take late registrations up to 2 October 2025

Program details

Sessions start 24 September and run to 13 December 2025 + Come and Try Membership to 24 January 2026
Sessions will be held Wednesdays – 6:15 to 7:15pm and Saturdays – 1:30 to 2:30pm
Sessions to be held in the indoor pool at Miami Aquatic Centre (80 Pacific Ave, Miami QLD 4220)
Cost is $360 (plus fees) for the 24 weeks + 1 month Come and Try

To Register and pay for the Course you need to:

TRANSITION 2 MASTERS (T2M) TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The declaration below requires participants to accept the Terms and Conditions of Transition 2 Masters (T2M) program.
To be elegible for the T2M membership, we require that you can swim a minimum of 25m Freestyle. If your application is successful, a Masters Swimming Club Coach will further assess your ability in the first session of the program to ensure suitability.
Please complete and accept the T2M Terms & Conditions and ensure you have a current profile setup in Swim Central and have purchased the T2M product with Miami Masters by Friday 19 September 2025 to be eligible for the Transition 2 Masters membership.
Note that no part of this membership is transferable.
